HEHN hosts several empowering conferences every year. They feature local and state holistic practitioners with community involvement giving them the opportunity to identify and change the societal forces which impact their lives and wellbeing.

By focusing on the principles of good health, wellness, and the safe resolution of illness the HEHN conferences promote an understanding of physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being as essential ingredients in creating healthy individuals. This approach is dedicated to integrating treatments that utilize natural methods to stimulate healing, balance, and support for the body's own resilience.

Our hope is to:

• Reconnect the Blacks of Travis County to healthy lifestyle behaviors and activities
• Increase alternative health literacy among Blacks in Travis Co.
• Diagnosing and screening (i.e.) blood pressure, oxygen, diabetes
• Demonstrations and treatments consisting of Massage Therapy, Acupuncture,
Yoga and Healthy Cooking Classes
• Vendors with alternative or natural medicine
